Why this role exists
A well-established not-for-profit health organisation is strengthening how primary care services are planned, funded and evaluated. This role exists to lift the quality, rigour and influence of analytics that inform strategic decisions across population health and service delivery.
What you’ll do
- Design and deliver complex analytical projects using population, activity, performance and outcomes data
- Improve data collection, measurement frameworks and analytical methodologies
- Develop evidence-based insights that inform commissioning, policy and system planning
- Work with internal teams and external agencies to align data, assumptions and outcomes
- Provide clear, pragmatic advice to senior leaders on what the data means and what to do next
- Contribute to capability uplift through guidance, documentation and training
What you’ll bring
- A tertiary qualification in epidemiology, statistics, mathematics, public health research or similar
- Strong hands-on experience with data preparation, analysis and interpretation
- Practical capability in SQL, R, Python or similar analytical tools
- Confidence in interpreting population health, service activity and performance data
- Clear communication skills, including report writing for non-technical stakeholders
- Solid project management skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities
Nice to have
- Familiarity with primary care or public health systems
- Experience with quality assurance or continuous improvement methodologies
Team & ways of working
You’ll sit within a multidisciplinary analytics and planning function, partnering closely with commissioning, strategy and leadership teams. The role offers a hybrid model with time split between home and a Perth metro office.
Compensation & details
- Fixed-term, full-time to 30 June 2026
- $110,465 – $124,276 + 12% super
- Hybrid working available
