AI & Data Business Enablement Partner | Senior Individual Contributor | Perth | $250k–$300k package

The quick version

  • Be the shop front for Data & AI to a large, operational top 20 ASX-listed mining business
  • Work with Chiefs, GMs and frontline teams to lift capability and deliver real outcomes
  • No PoCs. No science projects. Only initiatives that move productivity, safety and quality

Why this role exists

This organisation has invested heavily in Data & AI capability. What it needs now is someone who can translate that capability into business value at scale.

This role exists to bridge the gap between operations and technical teams identifying high-value use cases, shaping them into clear problem and value statements and ensuring they are delivered in a way the business trusts, adopts and benefits from.

You are not here to build models or write code.

You are here to enable the business to use Data & AI properly.

What you’ll do

  • Act as the primary Data & AI partner to the business, engaging leaders and frontline teams
  • Upskill stakeholders in practical Data & AI thinking and responsible adoption
  • Identify, shape and prioritise high-value use cases with clear operational and financial impact
  • Translate business problems into well-defined initiatives for technical delivery teams
  • Represent the business through solution design, testing, deployment and adoption
  • Ensure initiatives align to Data & AI strategy, governance and ethical standards
  • Track benefits realisation, adoption and ROI post-deployment
  • Challenge assumptions constructively and keep focus on outcomes over novelty

What you’ll bring

  • Deep mining experience (this is non-negotiable; mining operations, not adjacent sectors)
  • Proven ability to work across executive leadership and frontline operations
  • Consulting, advisory or internal enablement background with strong BA and facilitation skills
  • Experience identifying and delivering business improvement initiatives in complex environments
  • Solid Data & AI literacy, enough to challenge, shape and translate, without being a technical specialist
  • Strong change, adoption and stakeholder management capability
  • A calm, grounded communication style and low-ego mindset
  • Confidence to influence without needing to be the smartest person in the room

Team & ways of working

You’ll sit within a central Data & AI function, working in a federated model with operations, technical delivery teams and digital leaders. This is a highly visible role with real influence, but success comes from partnership, trust and credibility rather than authority.

Compensation & details

  • Package: ~$250k–$300k (inclusive of base, super + bonus)
  • Type: Full-time permanent
  • Location: Perth location only
  • Work rights: Full Australian working rights required
