Level 1 Support Analyst (with Dev & Analytics Skills) | Perth CBD | $400–450/day

Why this role exists

The organisation is modernising its support and data capability and needs someone who can resolve today’s issues while helping uplift how data and automation flow through the team.

What you’ll do

• Handle Level 1 incidents and requests across hardware, software and Microsoft 365
• Triage and prioritise tickets in a modern ITSM platform
• Provide calm, clear remote support using standard remote tools
• Complete AD tasks: resets, unlocks, group membership checks
• Build simple Power BI dashboards and Excel reports for internal teams
• Use PowerShell/Python for basic scripts and micro-automations
• Investigate issues using logs, API calls and simple Git workflows
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to KB articles or process fixes

What you’ll bring

• Strong L1 fundamentals: troubleshooting, ITIL basics, SOPs and task ownership
• Experience with an ITSM tool (ServiceNow, Freshdesk, Halo, Zendesk or similar)
• Microsoft 365 confidence: Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, MFA
• Early scripting skills (PowerShell, Python; Bash optional)
• Analytics basics: Power BI, Excel pivots/lookup functions, SQL familiarity
• Clear communication with users, even when they’re stressed
• Nice to have: Power Apps/Automate, cyber hygiene knowledge, automation mindset

• Perth CBD office with hybrid rhythm (approx. 2 days WFH)
• Supportive team with clear escalation paths into L2
• Exposure to automation, low-code and data reporting squads

Compensation & details

• 3-month contract, strong likelihood of temp-to-perm
• $400–450/day (inc. super or plus super depending on engagement model)
• Full-time hours, standard checks may apply
• Australian work rights required
