Why this role exists

A large, regulated energy utility is engaging a Senior Data Analyst to support core commercial functions with fit-for-purpose dashboards and pragmatic insights. The focus is on delivery, clarity and usability rather than platform rebuilds or experimental analytics.

What you’ll do

• Design, build and refine dashboards for Finance, Procurement and Commercial Operations
• Translate business questions into clear, actionable analytical outputs
• Leverage existing enterprise data models and governed data assets
• Work directly with business stakeholders to validate requirements and iterate
• Ensure reporting is accurate, consistent and easy to consume
• Support documentation, knowledge transfer and handover at contract end

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience operating as a Senior Data Analyst or equivalent
• Strong track record delivering dashboards for finance or commercial teams
• Solid understanding of enterprise data models and structured data environments
• Confident stakeholder engagement and requirements translation skills
• Experience working in complex, regulated or large enterprise environments

Nice to have

• Exposure to utilities, energy or government-adjacent organisations
• Familiarity with modern BI platforms such as Power BI or similar

Team & ways of working

You’ll work alongside finance and commercial stakeholders in a mature data environment with established models and governance. The engagement is delivery-focused with minimal ceremony and a clear handover expectation.

• 3-month contract
• $700 per day, inclusive of super
• Immediate or near-immediate start
• On-site or hybrid working aligned to client requirements
• Australian working rights required
