This newly evolved role exists to strengthen and future-proof the organisation’s data ecosystem — ensuring reliable, secure analytics today while laying the groundwork for AI and automation tomorrow. You’ll be the bridge between technology and strategy, helping leaders make informed, data-driven decisions.
What you’ll do
- Lead the design and optimisation of databases, data models and analytics pipelines
- Oversee Power BI delivery — ensuring accuracy, governance and stakeholder relevance
- Manage large, complex datasets and integrate data across business systems
- Drive analytics components of major IT projects from concept to delivery
- Partner with executives and managers to translate business needs into actionable insights
- Introduce automation and best-practice tooling to improve data efficiency
- Build and deliver training to lift data literacy and adoption of self-service BI
- Supervise a Power BI Support Officer, fostering capability and a culture of collaboration
- Snowflake migration and integration
What you’ll bring
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science or similar
- Advanced SQL and Power BI expertise (DAX, data modelling, visualisation)
- Strong experience developing scalable, governed analytics solutions
- Proven ability to turn analysis into insights and communicate to non-technical audiences
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and documentation skills
- Experience leading or mentoring others in analytics or IT environments
- Understanding of data governance and compliance principles
- (Nice to have) Experience preparing organisations for AI or automation initiatives
Team & ways of working
You’ll join a collaborative Business Services & Systems team within a values-driven not-for-profit. The role reports to the IT Manager and partners closely with Finance, Technology and operational leaders.
Hybrid working — typically 2 days WFH, 3 days Perth CBD.
Compensation & details
- Permanent full-time
- $135K–145K + super (commensurate with experience)
- Hybrid Perth CBD role
- Must hold current police clearance and full work rights in Australia
