Systems Accountant | North of the River, Perth

The quick version

• Be the bridge between Finance, Data, and IT, owning the ERP finance modules

Why this role exists

This role exists to make sure Finance isn’t slowed down by clunky systems. You’ll align finance processes with ERP capabilities, embed controls, and create reporting that actually answers the right questions.

What you’ll do

• Own the integrity and governance of ERP finance modules
• Ensure compliance and controls are embedded in workflows
• Identify process improvements and build system-enabled automation
• Translate finance requirements into reliable, system-driven reporting
• Partner with the Data Analyst to standardise reporting and reconciliations
• Support budgeting and forecasting via system enhancements
• Act as Finance’s voice in ERP upgrades and cross-functional projects
• Train finance users and provide frontline system support

What you’ll bring

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar; CPA (or progress) preferred
• 3+ years in accounting/finance with ERP system exposure
• Experience with ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Dynamics, etc.)
• Knowledge of financial processes and internal controls
• Strong Excel and exposure to BI/reporting tools (Power BI, SQL basics)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Nice-to-have: knack for process improvement and systems thinking

Team & ways of working

You’ll join a collaborative Finance team, working hand-in-hand with ERP Support and a Finance Data Analyst. Hybrid model with 2 days WFH is standard.
