Why this role exists

This specialist consulting business is scaling its architecture capability to support clients navigating complex digital and enterprise transformation journeys. You’ll own solution design from discovery through delivery, ensuring outcomes are achievable, secure and aligned to strategy.

What you’ll do

• Own overall solution design across functional and non-functional requirements including security, performance, scalability and compliance
• Translate business problems into clear architectural outcomes that balance strategy, budget and delivery constraints
• Lead solution options analysis, estimates and trade-off decisions using structured evaluation techniques
• Communicate the impact of technical decisions to senior business and technology stakeholders
• Maintain architectural integrity as solutions evolve, negotiating deviations where required
• Create and present solution designs that align with enterprise architecture principles and standards

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years’ experience delivering solutions in a consulting or complex project environment
• Broad enterprise exposure with depth in one or more of: application development, cloud, integration, data, AI/ML or cyber security
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to influence executive audiences
• Experience selecting and evaluating technologies using PoCs, scorecards, vendor roadmaps or reference architectures
• Architecture certification (TOGAF, SABSA, Zachman or similar)
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure or GCP) with relevant certifications highly regarded

Nice to have: hands-on background with Java, JavaScript, Python or PHP, and familiarity with Agile, Kanban or Lean delivery.

Team & ways of working

You’ll work alongside senior architects, delivery leads and engineers in a collaborative consulting environment. Hybrid working is supported, with most roles balancing client engagement and flexible work arrangements.
